WE don't yet have the final tally as far as funds
raised at THE BENEFIT, but should have them to you in a relatively short time. Credit card
payments, personal checks, and even cash donations, all have to be cleared with the National Transplant Assistance Fund; the
501 (c) 3 organization that regulates the funds for this and benefits akin to the Peter Earley MS Benefit.
Suffice it to say, though, we are hopefully
close to or closing in on our goal!
Talk about exciting developments...
We recently were back in touch with one of the two major countries where Peter will likely be going
for treatments, Mexico, and the progress and phenomenal advancements they are making there are indicating to us that it is
there, instead of China, where Peter will travel.
It isn't yet certain, however, the doctor we spoke with was SO impressive and knowledgeable, and, more importantly,
so hopeful for Peter's outcome, that we are leaning in that direction. The doctor stated that she was convinced
that, based on how much improvement they've seen in recent stem cell recipients, in just a few years they will have a
cure for MS.
She also mentioned that the
newest information on stem cells is so rapid that they learn weekly, and almost DAILY about what helps each SPECIFIC case,
and that MS is one of the diseases that is really receptive to this treatment.
We have researched four locations over the past six months and put a few hundred
hours into talking to people, researching on the web, checking doctors' credentials, hearing patients' testimonials,
etc. All indications point to Mexico as the right choice for our Peter.
Compared to China, Mexico is administering 150 MILLION cells, three times per week, versus China's
40 MILLION over a much longer period of upwards of four weeks. Dr. Reed said they originally started with less cells,
but found that "the more of the right neuron cells and nutrition cells you put into the patient at once, the more profound
the success!"
Their intent is to administer
the first 150 MILLION cells into Peter's spine, over several hours, then 300 MILLION will be intravenously delivered to
him over the next two days. The two IV's are less risky as opposed to puncturing Peter's spine three times.
All the cells are from the United States and have been screened for
all viruses and diseases. Peter should continue to improve from his treatments for a period of six months to a years,
and...will immediately have better mental clarity and energy, it was reported. The cleaner his body is, and the more
alkaline it contains, the better he'll do.
With
the exception of one patient experiencing headaches for about a week and one patient feeling weakness for a few days, no past
problems seem to have resulted from the treatments. We spoke with a patient that has progressively GOTTEN BETTER!.
She had the therapy administered six months ago and ten weeks after the treatment, which was when we spoke with her last,
she noticed some genuine improvements. Since that conversation she has noticed MANY more improvements!
Plus, they only administered 100 million cells six months ago,
all via the intravenous method. When it comes to MS, injecting the cells straight up the spine provides greater benefit
to MS recipients.
After speaking with
Dr. Reed, we came away amazingly energized, hopeful and totally excited about Peter's prospects.
The combination of Peter's continuing work with the allergy elimination
doctor, www.NAET.com and Dr Reed's (from Mexico) detox and diet program are helping keep our patient in a positive frame
of mind as he watches his dietary intake and keeps exercising.
We are hoping that our overall goal of meeting the financial requirements will soon be met and that by February,
2009, we will be on our way for this awesome treatment.
Your
words of encouragement, either in-person, in emails, over the phone and especially via this website's Guestbook all go
a long way in keeping Peter's spirits at a necessary peak, and from the bottom of our hearts we thank each and every one
of you for all you are doing to be a part of Peter's Army to defeat MS.
As more updates become available they will immediately be reported to this website, so check back
often. And by all means, it's NEVER TOO LATE to make a donation to help us inch that
much closer to being able to afford to follow through on all processes necessary in Peter's quest for stem cell treatment.
Please have a glance at the Contributing is EASY! page and give whatever amount your heart dictates. Whatever
it is, it is wonderful and shall be received with enormous gratitude!
